USE INSTAGRAM TO FIND VIRTUAL ASSISTANT CLIENTS

INSTAGRAM MARKETING is a pretty dang good service you could be offering to your clients as well!
INSTAGRAM TIPS FOR 2019
Doing a crap-ton of research and taking courses on Instagram marketing opened up some surprising facts for how you can use it best in 2019. Here's what I discovered:
ENGAGEMENT matters more than FOLLOWERS
Shoot to interact with your followers rather than just accumulate them! Likes, shares, and comments on your content will give you more influence than having thousands upon thousands of un-engaged followers.
VIDEO is QUEEN in 2019
Currently, videos get 2x the number of comments on Instagram than still images.
Post ONCE or TWICE per day.
The Instagram algorithm (the thing that decides how often your posts will get seen!) is constantly changing and also a 'big secret'. BUT...hard data doesn't lie. When analyzing which brands tend to get the highest 'reach' it seems that those posting ONCE or TWICE per day are in the sweet spot.
TAG others in your posts
By TAGGING other Instagram users in your posts you can significantly increase engagement, getting more likes, comments, and shares and possibly attracting the attention of bigger influencers. (Just don't be spammy...be sure your post is relevant to those tagged!)
9am - 11am (EST) is your SWEET SPOT
Data shows this is the BEST time to post on Instagram for maximum visibility. Don't ask me why...I'm just sharing the facts :)
Use fewer HASHTAGS
I have to admit...this completely caught me off guard and surprised the heck outta me! While Instagram allows you to use up to 30 hashtags per post...it turns out that companies using 3-7 hashtags are currently getting the most visibility. Hmmmmmmmm.
Use Instagram STORIES
For shizzle...use your stories. Add video, GIFS and make your best stories into 'Highlights'. Instagram seems to favor those who make use of ALL its features.
Use STORY STICKERS to increase engagement!
If engagement is key (and it is) then it only makes sense to use those Instagram stickers in your stories! Use a sticker to poll your audience, ask a question or use the countdown timer.
What better way to get a TON of engagement from your followers than by asking them to tag you, follow you or share your content to win a prize?
CAPTION those VIDEOS
Current research shows that most Instagram video viewers do it with the sound OFF on their phones. So when creating a video be sure to caption it with subtitles to read.
LEARN from your own CONTENT
The graphs usually show that images with faces get more engagement than pictures without people. But not always. Check your Instagram Analytics regularly to see which posts are performing best. Make MORE of the same. Duh.
ROLL WITH IT
I think this is the most important tip of all. Those Algorithms we talked about? They CHANGE all the time. What worked 6 months ago may not work at all now. And likely next year will be a whole new ball game. Be ready to pivot, and constantly update your strategy!
