Virtual Assistant Marketing

Those are some pretty big words: You are not a Virtual Assistant.

You’re probably wondering what-the-heck I mean by that (or how much wine I have been drinking).  If you are NOT a Virtual Assistant...than what are you?

You're a marketing company.

Let me explain:  When you own a business…ANY type of business…you must consider yourself to be in Marketing.  That’s really the bottom line.  You might be the best dang Health Coach or Financial Advisor or Daycare Provider or Virtual Assistant in the entire universe – but if people don’t know about you, then you will still have ZERO clients.  And how do people get to know about you?  Through Marketing. 

So in order to be a phenomenal Virtual Assistant, you must learn to become phenomenal in marketing.

Over the past few years, I have received hundreds of emails and questions from women wanting to become Virtual Assistants…but many of them will say things like:

“…I don’t want to bother having a website…”


“…I just want one big client I can work from home for…” 


“…I don’t like Facebook or all that Social Media Stuff…”

These are very interesting statements to me because I FULLY believe that if you don’t want to MARKET your business using a website or a blog or social media or WHATEVER, then you don’t actually want to have a business.  You simply want a job that you can work from home at.

Which is totally cool and totally fine!  If you want to look for a job that you can do from home – go for it sister!  But be very clear to yourself about what it is you’re doing.

If you want to own a business and actually find clients you must learn marketing and spend a good portion of your time on marketing activities.
